I'm just curious who of Chucky or Vanek would play right wing. Apparently Vanek can play both wings but do you really want to play your top acquisition on his weak side?

Gionta can just be put on the 3rd line with Eller and Bourque or Briere.

Play Chucky on RW, he's got more of a snap/wrist shot release than a slap per which is perfect for playing off wing. I'd really like to see how Pleks does with two big & talented wingers...finally.

He's gonna play it safe, and let Galchenyuk play on 3rd line ......Gionta won't get bumped me thinks....hopefully he does, but not holding my breath

The only problem is that MT often use Plek-Gio as his shutdown line, obviously that assignment would change but Bourque-Eller-Gio could easily do the same job if asked to.

Gionta will get time on the PK, he have played a lot on this unit lately.

Anyhow, we are not interrested in re-signing Gionta at the end of season. Vanek though...
