No Excuses No Limits! The mother fucking goddamn season thread

Scoring depth comparisons, 4 different ways. You choose the one you like best.

These are just for this year's scoring. I'll follow it up with 2-year stats (which are my preference tbh).

These players aren't listed in order of offense, but my best attempt at slotting the players into their likeliest roles and matchups.

Amazing how disastrous the additions of Laughton and Jarnkrok have been.

12. Laughton 40.8%
13. Jarnkrok 36.6%

Season Stats

1. Matthews 54.5% (+4.4rel)
2. Steeves 54.1% (+5.8rel)
3. Knies 52.9% (+2.3rel)
4. Marner 52.4% (+1.8rel)
5. Nylander 51.9% (+2.8rel)
6. Holmberg 50.8% (+2.2rel)
7. Tavares 49.7% (0.0rel)
8. Domi 48.4% (0.0rel)
9. Lorentz 48.4% (+1.3rel(
10. Pacioretty 47.6% (-2.2rel)
11. McMann 47.5% (-1.7rel)
12. Kampf 45.5% (-1.8rel)

17. Jarnkrok 36.0% (-9.0rel)
** Grebenkin 35.6% (-9.6rel)
** Minten 33.7% (-12.0rel)

xGF% With/Without Laughton

Domi 38.1% / 48.9% (-10.8)
Lorentz 34.0% / 48.0% (-14.0)
McMann 40.7% / 54.6% (-13.9)
Robertson 44.2% / 46.6% (-2.4)
Kampf 53.7% / 37.9% (+15.8)

xGF% With/Without Jarnkrok

Domi 33.8% / 39.3% (-5.5)
Lorentz 33.9% / 42.6% (-8.7)
Nylander 30.0% / 55.7% (-15.7)
Kampf 41.4% / 35.4% (+6.0)
Tavares 15.1% / 51.0% (-35.9)

together on a line, where each has spent the majority of their minutes, they've combined for a spectacular 29.7xgf%. (poor, poor domi).

And of course neither has brought any offense either, and neither is particular good on special teams.

At this point neither should be in the playoffs lineup.

Robertson, Pacioretty, and Steeves are all probably better options. Cowan might be too. Absolutely all of these guys are better options on a 3rd line with Domi.

They may or may not be better options than Lorentz/Kampf/Holmberg on the 4th line but so far they definitely haven't been.

At this point i'd be icing this bottom 6:

Pacioretty - Domi - Robertson
Lorentz - Kampf - Holmberg

hilariously Leafy as fuck

so tonight's lines are switched up.

He's reuniting McMann-Domi-Robertson as the 3rd line. This is kinda good, but at the same time the 2nd line has been so good with McMann that it might hurt.

to start this game that means Jarnkrok gets first dibs on the 2nd line spot and Laughton on the 4th line. I mean whatever at this point but I could see them swapping back and forth this game.

more importantly, this lineup opens up a spot for patches on the tavares line which is something that berube went with early in the year and was pretty good.

but even more importantly, berube is giving up on what was obviously the intended 3rd line of Laughton-Domi-Jarnkrok, for now at least.

Kampf/Jarnkrok/Laughton/Reaves = $7.5m

With myers up and Benoit...why do we have to play short. Also...put Kampf on IR and get hakanpaa or patches in. I don't get why we have to okay with five D

You can’t put guys on LTIR after the deadline for some reason. So we have no cap space to call anyone up. After you play short for a game then you can use emergency recall.
