No Excuses No Limits! The mother fucking goddamn season thread

Kampf/Jarnkrok/Laughton/Hakanpaa/Reaves could have freed up $4.75m in capsapce for one player ($9.5m player with 50% retention), with a roster carrying an extra forward and dman.

Kampf is probably going to be IR so that pacciorety and hakanpaa can get in for like the last three games of the Reg season.

Mcabe is rest

You’re probably right, since Treliving had a weird preoccupation with the guy. But tossing Haawkaantuah into the playoff lineup after basically not playing at all for a year and a half seems cuckoo-fuckin-bananas.

It’d be one thing if it was a true potential difference-maker. But putting a mediocre depth defenseman with that much rust on him into a playoff game is something that should only be considered as an absolute last resort.

And man, am I ever going to be annoyed when Nick Robertson gets deleted from the playoff lineup to make room for a shitty, broken old Max Pacioretty.

Injured, cooked, or a combo of the two?

Considering he had 21 goals & 47 points in 61 games with the Bruins this year, I’d guess it’s a combination of struggling to come back from an injury at the same time he’s adjusting to a new team for the first time in his NHL career.

Also probably doesn’t help that Tkachuk, Bennett & Barkov are all out. Once they’re all magically healthy again for game one of the playoffs, Marchand will suddenly be a lot more insulated in that Florida lineup.

Anyway, anyone aside from zeke would easily choose him over Pacioretty and his 11 goal/29 point scoring pace and 39 games missed due to injury.

yeah Marchand is closer to the end sure. but if we play Florida I bet he's still got at least one more dagger to thrust into a franchise he owns body and soul. good add by them at the deadline.

I want to see patches in games 1 and 2.
Whomever we play, they are going to try and run us out by being physical.

Nicky could easily be neutralized. You get patches in the weather the storm for the first games...maybe inflict some pain as well and then you bring Nicky if you need offense.

Marchand’s actual scoring totals >>> Pacioretty’s theoretical scoring totals

I mean, it's highly likely that Marchand will play in games and highly unlikely that Pacioretty will play in games.

Scoring is a good ability, puck possession is another good ability. But availability >>

pretty sure Patches could play right now.

Did you say sure? I'm also pretty sure.
