I guess I can never be like you guys. I always am optimistic that we've got it until we don't.

If we lose the next ten elimination games, I'll still be pretty confident about the eleventh.

To an extent.

After awhile you just look like a fool when you don't start reading the tea leaves.
You can make some changes and be optimistic at the same time. I personally wouldn’t change the big 4 unless it clearly made the team better. And just overall in life, you’re better off being an optimist than a pessimist. It’s a lot healthier.

Sorry in advance for being positive about today but nothing brings out better comedy than the Leafs being the Leafs and failing in the most hilarious, miserable way.

Again, not saying anybody should be dumped without getting full value in return. That would just be dumb. But a different allotment of guys need to be here next year.

And re: life in general, I agree a certain level of optimism if helpful and you certainly don't want to be pessimistic about everything. But a certain level of skepticism and pessimism is absolutely essential once you start seeing year over year trends and reality starts to hit you in the face both in your personal and professional life. Simply hoping for things to work out when they are continually showing you that they are not isn't practical.

But hey, whatever works for you is the path worth taking.

I don't think it's rocket science why we are at game 7.
The absolute strength of this team is down the middle. We have a very important guy out at C, this is a huge massive loss.
And another center not at 100%.
Then, you have Carey Fucking Price. He has made 3 or 4 "that was his best save of the year" type saves on us at crucial parts of games.
I am not buying the Habs want it more or have more heart scenario, its bullshit.
The Habs have blown back to back 3rd period 2 goal leads in a series deciding game.

I have been a fan almost 50 years.
I've been through the muck often.

Yeah, we paid 11 million dollars for him and constructed our roster around having 2 first lines. In terms of replaceability (probably not a word...) from within our lineup he is behind only Jack and Auston. Massively important player for us.

Should we be able to beat the habs without him? Yeah, we should. But it's a hell of a lot harder without him.

If Karma was real we're owed about 4 Cups at this point. Karma don't exist.
You're not grasping how karma works. The Habs had nothing to do with those playoff failures.

Zeke messed it up for you guys I'm sorry to say.

There's two of the largest fanbases in hockey on pins and needles. Millions of pills / booze / weed will be consumed tonight.
