OT: American Politics

yeah some kinda sketchy shit going on with the form there imo.
I read earlier that they did not admit the original application form into evidence. Which makes me wonder how they prove that he filled it out incorrectly. But then in the twitter thread, there were photos of what I presume was the original form. So I'm confused about that...

seems like he's guilty by the letter of the law. but also, this is clearly a political prosecution if there ever was one.

eh, dude has gotten so much from his name that i don't mind seeing him (legitimately) locked up for real crimes even if it's thanks to extra attention thanks to his name.

fuck nepo babies.

From what I can make out - original form was eventually altered years later (to hide the fact they sold the gun to him without proper ID and received immunity for it), it's the one floating around with three different pen colours.

The one they're presenting to the jury is the one that was sent to ATF (non-altered after the fact).

seems unnecessary to go after an addict who is in recovery just to seemingly run his family through more trauma and public shaming. especially given the shenanigans around the previous agreement the parties nearly reached. that's my human reaction.

special prosecutor can carry on with the investigation and prosecution, well within his rights, just seems vindictive to me.

i'll never feel sorry for Hunter Biden. Life hasn't treated him unfairly.

'Out of an abundance of caution, they were evaluated at a local hospital.'

'John was treated for a bruised shoulder and they were discharged that afternoon.'

The couple is 'doing well' and are 'happy' to be back at their home in Braddock, Pennsylvania, the spokesperson added.
