“I’m brave enough to stare a gunshot to the head but scared to debate a shitty last minute candidate” is not a good look
 
I mean, it's not like the pinnacle of democracy, sure. But there's basically the same amount of campaign that got Harris elected as Trump went through.

The underlying truth to it all is that the American system isn't exactly built and designed to be the height of democratic representation.

Complaining about just this aspect of it is pure cope and whinging.
 
I feel like it’d be less democratic for the delegates to back someone else really. The delegates pledge to vote for the candidate their voters picked in the primaries. They knew Kamala was his running mate. He stepped down and endorsed her. And no one else has gotten the signatures and even entered the race, they all backed her too. What else would the delegates do?
