Well thats the thing, its hard to defend in politics. Defence means that you're allowing your adversary to set the terms of engagement. A functioning media can act as an arbiter/referee there that holds both sides to account when they depart from shared reality...but lol, its been a long ass time since the US had that. So message confidently and aggressively.
