Exactly. They want a nanny state where they can pick their nanny.

Plus healthy options are currently available. People choose fake food packaged in boxes over more nutritious (and often cheaper) options just sitting in the produce aisles.

Not to mention he's wrong about a bunch of the culprits of the obesity epidemic! If we're gonna go all-in on an "eat healthy" candidate let's make it a team of nutritionists that base their policies on consensus using evidence based data so we get the best bang for our buck!

If there's one thing we've learned it's that laymen suck balls at interpreting studies and scientific evidence. In fairness you can pretty much find a study that supports anything you want to believe. Most studies out there are poorly designed and many don't even pretend that they are anything but that and caution to not extrapolate results across a wider population! Last but not least a single scientific is usually no different than a single political poll. You need several with similar results to be confident about anything!
 
with the pollsters seemingly taking a break before I assume releasing the first true post-convention polls this coming week, the state of the races based on the average of the polling averages....

Fairly safe EVs look like 213 Dem - 219 Gop.

With 8 battleground states that are pretty close, except that 3 of those are actually close to Safe Dem according to the polls

WI (10) D +3.5 ish
VA (13) D +2.5-3.0
MI (15) D +2.5-3.0

Those are pretty close to outside the margin of error so if you count those as Dems the safe EVs are 251 D - 219 R.

With 5 "true" battlegrounds looking like:

PA (19) D +1.5 ish
AZ (11) D +1.0-1.5
NC (16) Even - D +0.5
NV (6) D +0.5 - R +0.5
GA (16) R +1.0-1.5

Ds would just need pennsylvania there, or 2 of the others.

Rs pretty much absolutely need PA without PA they need to overturn one of those 3 pretty safe Dem states above. If they do get PA they can afford to lose any one of the other 5 battlegrounds (or even both of AZ and NV).

But Rs really really need PA.
