I mean, even if we take it all a face value...which is fucking insane to begin with, the ~5 million Trump wants to deport aren't home owners or the primary leaseholder on apartments in the type of numbers that would make a dent in housing affordability. These are people living with family members of citizenship status, or renting rooms/basement apartments off of friends, family and acquaintances, etc.
Also, the idea of just stating "lowering interest rates" as a stand alone policy statement is fucking wild. When your policy requires the detonation of national monetary policy and the politicization of maybe the most important economic lever experts have to pull to manage the overall economy....maybe that should be mentioned? Dangerous, demented morons at the NYT. Fucking clownshoes.
