No one likes Haley lol
lol bro puerto rice was a nightmare for me (hyperbolizing) for that reason. No lights worked anywhere. It was terrifying.
We stayed in a place that was 99% locals and coincidentally met a dude at a bar who played basketball at Kennesaw state here in Georgia. His gf was the bartender and we got wayyy too drunk. Kind of ruined half the next day and hadn’t planned on that. Nice people beside being called a gringo everywhere we went lol
This guy was a native Puerto Rican who had come back home idk if permanently or just to visit. We didn’t really run into many tourists until we went to old San Juan. Stuff was expensive there, but outside of there I thought it was really cheap. We were buying like 3 or $4 steaks from local grocery stores and living like kings lol. This was about a year after their bad hurricane so maybe that had something to do with it idk.Driving in Latin America is about embracing the chaos, but a major city without lights was a new one for me. It worked fairly well though as soon as you learned the unofficial rules
We met a bunch of random Americans as well from all over the place. Uber driver from Colorado, waitress from Wyoming, etc. Wasn't expecting that tbh.
Loved PR. Only knock on it was how expensive everything was. Was expecting a bit more latin america in that regard. We're planning on going back at some point, but the list of places we want to go is long.
Yeah this was August 2018 for me.Food was way, way more expensive than that when I was there 10-11 months ago. Beef was reasonable-ish by Canadian standards, but fruits and veg were wild expensive.
