Sheinbaum isn't AMLO. He's a populist dipshit, she's a hyper capable manager who mostly did a spectacular job in CDMX because she's a technocrat and a realist. She's going to have a much better handle on which levers she can and can't pull to counter Trump's bullshit and she has a pretty ironclad supermajority down there. She's not going to face much in the way of domestic political head winds.

Sheinbaum is a beast. Legit scientist with PHD. Serious climate science/green energy chops. Data driven, progressive AF but tough. I don't think we've had a head of state as legitimately capable a human being maybe ever. Can't think of many US President's more impressive either.

Has some security skeletons in her closet because Mexico is Mexico and Morena takes a bit of a hear no evil see no evil approach to the cartels, preferring to focus on root causes like rural poverty instead of another war on the cartels that the mexican right wing keeps begging for. But overall, super impressive. Mexico is lucky to have her.
