CNN just reported DeSantis might be the new SecDef nominee if Hegseth doesn't work.
It would fix the southern borderThey want no part of adding a state with 140 million mexicans in it.

yah so they'll call it a 'territory'They want no part of adding a state with 140 million mexicans in it.
likely in exchange for him appointing Lara Trump to fill Rubio's Senate seat*CNN just reported DeSantis might be the new SecDef nominee if Hegseth doesn't work.
Don't worry, it will still be unaffordable unless the US also annexes Mexico and China.I just want to go to WDW, Dland and Nashville without paying an exchange rate..

in fairness to LGM, he has been a consistently cynical voice on here. he was not on team kamalandslide. funny how everyone seems to get lumped in there, even if there were what, a half dozen of us?
I admit it.you backed a massive loser in Kam, you bought all the bullshit she would win in a landslide, now you get Don for four years, jokes on you numbnuts
Since when has anyone accused Trump or his cronies of possessing sanity?I get most here have pathological TDS but in no way could anyone sane believe he meant his comment to be taken seriously.
Economically we are basically a US vassal but we will never join them politically.
our admissions don't seem to count for anything, funnily enough. I also did, the week of the election...I admit it.
I was wrong.
He's a mod.Explain to me why I still can’t ignore Count on here

Yeah, my consistent take from about 2022 onwards (when it became clear that Biden intended to run again) was that it was fucking insane, selfish and irresponsible for someone as old as Biden to run for another four-year term, and that he was putting American democracy in mortal peril by doing so.
And then by the time the calendar flipped over into 2024, my take was that Biden was probably in tough to win, and it was likely too late to successfully switch to another candidate.
Which I think was also true. If Biden had made it clear from the jump that he intended to be a one-term, caretaker President and then pass the torch, considering her feeble record and performances in past nomination fights, it seems pretty unlikely that Kamala would have emerged from a full Dem primary campaign as the winner of the 2024 Democratic nomination. She was just the best everyone could agree to settle on as a complete last-minute choice.
