The governance structure on funding/debt, and these yearly shut down negotiations that lead to 15000+ page bills, so that everyone can get their funders piece, that no one actually reads and always increases the debt is nuts.

unfortunately the ability of a gop congress to blackmail the country with a government shutdown will still exist even if they get rid of the debt ceiling, which is an alternate way for them to blackmail the country.

but hey, one way is better than two ways.
