OT: American Politics

That's the best part. Trump exposed crypto for what it is and they're mad because they feel he's making a mockery of it and sucking the liquidity out of the rest of the market. They were also promised that he'd push the movement forward and give it credibility but this does the opposite of that.

They're all marks. They were always all marks. Marks never know that they're marks until it's too fucking late for them.

There's just too much incentive to grift these days. You can make a generational amount of money in just hours from being a master at the craft. It has been the case for a long while especially on twitter but it sure feels like things are escalating almost daily these days.

It used to be about producing things and innovating. Now it's all about convincing people of things and making numbers go up. Which is way easier than innovating. And often more lucrative. Kind of a weird place to be.

I don’t think we’ve hit it yet, not by a long shot, but there’s a limit to the dumb money that will go for this stuff. Then the grift will have to consolidate and there’ll be epic backstabbing.

It’s kinda like the craft beer market circa 2014, though there were fewer stabbings. Too much garbage on the market.

I found a fool proof way to raise a million dollars.

Send me a million dollars, and I will show you how.

Crypto’s always been a massive Ponzi scheme just waiting to collapse.

Maybe Trump will be the one to accidentally push over the whole edifice.

Ok boomer!

Seriously, this recent wave of grifting started with credit card 💳 churning

I have to say, I do know someone who pump and dumps meme coins. He started off with $40, casual, just wanted to play for fun. His account is up to around 12k. He identifies coins, tweets about it, starts a discord community, then dumps. Then on to the next one, etc.

No skill required other than grifting.

....does he have an online course that I could possibly buy? I'm starting to feel left out actually coming up with good ideas and doing good work for money.

It's a grind. He buys names with low liquidity and he's basically a whale buying like $200 worth and it impacts the price. He works in a team, he'll warn people when he sells, price will dump and it's usually a buyable dip.

He spends a lot of time on it and for an hourly rate, it's not great. He says it's fun for him though.

If you're actually serious I'll ask him for some resources on how he does it and where he got his research. His hit rate is really good. Tech guy, works for Square/block or whatever the fuck. He's building a bot too, that's when I'd be interested. I prefer passive income.
