OT: American Politics

I wanted to touch on this again with a personal anecdote from the first time I spent a night in rural-ish Mexico.

Maybe 11 years ago? Wife and I were on our way from Guadalajara to visit a friend of hers in Colima. We decided to spend a night at an airbnb on the Lake Chapala to break the trip up as well as visit her dad, who lives in the area. Spend a lovely day by the lake, go back to this really, really nice airbnb to get some sleep. Awakened at 5 motherfucking AM by roosters losing their shit because fuck the sun or something. It appears that the guy who lives like 100 ft outside the walls of this airbnb raises roosters for fighting and chickens for food.

I said that to say this. If Americans started raising chickens in their backyards, early morning gun crime would go up 100,000%
😆😆😆

Sorry, man - almost didn't get past the bolded. OMG! Too funny, but often very true. Your final point taken, but effin' chickens: 🙄

Grew up with chickens. We even had a small flock on a verdant corner about five blocks away from downtown of the county seat (!!!). Goddam "banties." Meanest birds in the history of the world, except to Mom; LOVED her. Noisy, too, even at night if accidentally disturbed. We didn't bother cooping them up. They chased any and EVERYthing. Great watchdogs, if a bit noisy. 😊

Smartest thing they’ve said in a while.

Buy two hens and feed them cheap feed and you’ll get a dozen eggs/week

armed guard to protect your hens from coyotes sold separately
Guy I work with raised his own chickens and sold extra eggs to Co workers... Like an idiot he got out of that 2 years ago

Guy I work with brings them in for free...#idiot

I assume that you work with Davey douchebag?
