The "deal" is that if the US drops tariffs on Vietnam, Vietnam will not place tariffs on the socks they ship to the US. Every negotiation with every country targeted by Trump is going to be the same: "Hey Donnie, if you drop the tariffs on us we promise to drop our tariffs on you. Deal?"

The lady on Money Movers on CNBC is saying Trump's tweet is proof Trump is winning on fair trade because countries are already capitulating (referencing the Vietnam tweet).

Wait, you don't even wanna hear Vietnam's readout of that call first?

- trump hosts his saudi arabian golf tournament all day
