Exactly. Plus it’s obvious that the US economy is seriously bifurcated. Even sad national headline numbers don’t matter as much as people think — as long as the wealthiest 20% of consumers keep splurging, the economy will be ok. The other 80% will be divided by meaningless culture wars like jean commercials
