Hard to think of a more fitting funeral for American democracy than cage-fights and Monster Energy drink ads on the White House lawn, next to the paved-over Rose Garden and in the shadow of the bulldozed East wing of the White House.

With weigh-ins and pre-fight press conferences to take place on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, in the same spot Martin Luther King Jr delivered his “I have a dream” speech.
