The more knives come out the more I wonder if he's actually Just Plain Dangerous, or is he another shitty human being who of course went after some power cause that's what shitty people do?

I don't know, and thanks to the 1984 vibes I'm getting with any news out of the U.S, I may never know.

That headline illustrates the backwards thinking of a zero-sum dinosaur. It is economic dynamism that causes trade deficits, not some kind of flaw or unfair trade practice. Other countries are working to feed into the cutting edge capital investments that will drive future economic growth that will, in part, elude them while the US drives innovation.

This is the counterintuitive aspect of economics that bottom-line driven “businessmen” don’t grasp. Trade deficits can be a sign of a dynamic economy.

Of course, Dotard wouldn’t care even if he understood. He’s exploiting a simplistic narrative to validate the grievances of precarious workers whose skills are maybe suitable for the 1960s.
