OT: American Politics

Re: OT: Canadian Politics

I literally can't think of you posting in this thread more than once or twice over the past year. Why come in with a puffed out chest at this point?

Not puffing out anything.....clicked on the link to see how the map was playing out while I watch the Jays game and witnessed you embarrassing yourself.

It's cringeworthy man....pull yourself together.

Re: OT: Canadian Politics

The Liberal leader you've poked fun at for a few years now, discounted as a lightweight, out strategized Harper in the campaign and held his own against Harper in the debates.
Trudeau didn't out strategize anyone. His campaign did. Trudeau acted out his part...and I should emphasize the word "act", given he's a trained thespian.

I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt though. Let's see how it goes when debts pile up, the economy continues to be sluggish, and thousands of murdered and missing aboriginal women still aren't brought home.

Re: OT: Canadian Politics

HE'S JUST NOT READY.

But he has a few more weeks, so he should be fine.

And of course under Harper it's all blue skies and free puppies.

You sound like one of their attack ads.

Like I've said numerous times over the last few weeks....it's about the team. I don't care that "Trudeau" didn't personally create en execute the strategy. He was smart enough to listen to people who knew more about elections and strategy than he does.

The answer to that seems obvious. Liberals are shit kicking the conservatives. When would be a better time?

Except campaign managers aren't usually policy makers. They are different people. One doesn't equate to the other.

All that to say, I think it's going to be incredibly hard to deliver any of the change that he did well to represent over the campaign trail.

It's alot easier to get a rah-rah moment going at an election rally than in parliament.

Harper's management style has led his fans to believe a leader does 95% of the work.

I'm not sure you understand the phrase 'benefit of the doubt'
