OT: American Politics

You two need to fight, ****, or get over it.

I am sure he would prefer to have carnal knowledge of you Mindz, he seems to admire you far more than he does me.

You are right though, I have to be the bigger man and refuse to join in his little fight games.

Perhaps I respect him more than you because Mindz isn't some pussy-beggar simp who married the first woman that allowed him to enter her and carries around this pedestalization complex? Which in turn causes him to shame those he deems to be evil to teh poor defenceless wimminz!!!11!?

****ing hate Hill-dog.

Not gonna comment on yer pissing match, but you better get ready for the Hill-dog. She's gonna win, with the Mexi-rican veep from San Antonio. Then he goes for the big chair in 2024 and becomes the first Dem to carry Tejas in two generations.

I have heard Republicans comment that with the rate of hispanic growth in Texas, they will lose that state soon and never get it back. If the Reps lose Texas, not sure how they can ever win back the White House as the three biggest states in the union, New York, California and Texas would all be Democratic.

That was Ted Cruz. 2020 is likely too early, but 2024 isn't. It's pretty much baked in with the fertility and morbidity rates. The problem the Dems have in Texas is their ground game, Hispanic turn out is low.

Unless the veep is a latino from San Antonio...

This is a reality for the Republicans. They are going to lose Texas very soon.

Their policies have not changed and there is still this internal battle going on.

While insanity continues to prevail and hold them hostage, Republicans are quickly losing the ability to win a national election.

I laughed at Hannity last night (was listening in car on way home). Now the closing of the embassies is actually a bad thing even if saves lives because now the US looks like a coward hiding and gave away info that they can listen in on Al Qaeda. Wasn't Hannity upset over the terrible scandal of a few dead in Libya last year? Now if you close you are just a coward. It is funny watching him flip all over the place depending on who is President.

A conservative blog says it has emails proving an Iowa state senator was bribed into supporting Ron Paul's 2012 presidential campaign.

State Sen. Kent Sorenson was serving as Rep. Michele Bachmann's Iowa campaign chairman in December 2011 when he abruptly quit and gave Paul a surprise endorsement. Bachmann (R-Minn.) accused Sorenson of accepting money to jump ship within hours of the incident.

Emails involving several top officials from Paul's campaign about Sorenson's endorsement of the former congressman were made public Wednesday by Open Secrets. The Des Moines Register reports on the emails:

"The emails include a three-page memo from Aaron Dorr, an Iowa gun rights advocate, to John Tate, Paul’s campaign manager, that says Sorenson would need certain things before he switched allegiances from Michele Bachmann to Paul. Sorenson "needs to match his current salary of $8,000 a month" through fall 2012; Sorenson’s Senate clerk, Chris Dorr "would have to have his salary matched" at $5,000 a month; and Sorenson would need $100,000 to be placed in a political action committee account that would be controlled by Sorenson and the Dorrs, the memo says"......

Going back to the shooting in TO....

I was having a discussion with someone about the shooting. We were talking about "imminent danger" and something interesting came to mind. Greek cops have seen so much violence against them, they are use to it and probably have a much better idea what "lethal" and "imminent danger" looks like compared to GTA cops. That is why you don't have body counts in Greek riots despite bolder tossing and molotove cocktail bbq's.

So as much as we want to fry this cop for what appears to be a bad decision, okay, horrible decision, but you have to ask, how many times has he faced mortal danger? And what does he perceive as mortal danger? I can see him unloading several clips if someone threw a molotov at him...where as a Greek cop would put out the fire with his water bottle.....and nobody dies. On the other hand, you could count on a Greek cop (or three) braking the hand that held the knife.

I'm not making excuses for what happened, but in fairness, we have to keep things in perspective, environments....and experience.

Bring marshmallows......

Very good at lying, yes. And his lemmings eat it up like soup du jour.

I especially liked when he credited Bush's torture ummm I mean enhanced interrogation techniques for bringing down UBL.

I barely watch Fox News anymore though. I used to laugh at it, now it makes me angry.
