You keep stroking Wikileaks, but they've been massaging what they release and putting their own spin on things to further their own goals for a long time now. They're not even close to being the unbiased clearing house of whistleblower data that they were supposed to be.
Which isn't to say that they don't release information that is damaging or embarrassing for the political/elite classes, but they do it for their own reasons, to beat their own drum, not out of some sense of altruism. Telling is how they 1) had nothing to do with the Panama Papers (given that the targets were largely Russian) and 2) Did their best to take drive by pot shots at the ICIJ for doing exactly what Wikileaks themselves have done for years now, trickle out information...but instead of doing it to further a political goal, the ICIJ was trickling out information according to standards of professional journalism...as they were able to cross reference, and confirm the truth in the documents, they would release them.
