And they would do it to anyone of us, for any reason they deemed necessary and then lie to cover it up while coercing and threatening any one of their "brothers" they had to for it to stay quiet.

Reforming what police work is, and how it's done is a challenge decades overdue. We're not as bad thankfully, but not as far from being americanized as we should be.
 
Having been in this situation in the youth of my energy lol, I can understand both sides.
This should also read that this guy threatened shop owners and attacked the cops.
Personally, I would have kicked him in the head until his attitude changed.
Cops have a hard job but these three should have been able to control each other from turning pack attack. Changes have to be made and the public has to realize that you don't have the right to just hit anyone without impunity ... as the cops aren't learning.
This isn't a color thing, this isn't a religious thing, this is about security forces that protect the few, and mark my words it will become fewer and fewer, and that acts as crowd control for the rich and worthy lol..
Everyone has a personal investment until the shit hits the fan. We would all like to think we would handle things differently, but most can't even handle their kids these days ...
Even though I would like to reach out a punch the officer that stopped me because of my appearance, I don't because I know that they will prevail and my ribs aren't that pliable anymore lol.
If you don't want to be hit then don't hit!
It's pretty simple in this case.

We, as civilians may want to dole out instant "justice" and punch/beat a guy for being a POS. Cops may feel the same, but they can't. We cannot allow cops to be judge/jury/executioners. There's a reason for the term "excessive force." They may want to beat a guy, and I may want them to, depending on what he did... but it can't be permitted.

The cops need to be punished... and if the guy committed crimes, he needs to be punished too.
