OT: American Politics

I can only guess they know aid package would've passed with or without their support. So why vote against it? To then state they could argue that they would vote against anything that would have "other stuff" attached to aid package that didn't have to do with hurricane relief in future bills/votes even if it benefits their state. You can be sure though that if they felt the vote was going to be close, they would've voted for it. But I'm just speculating.

'Member when Joe Biden was the one they were going to have to sideline because he was publicly embarrassing and Kamala was going to be the engaging public face of the administration and was a sure bet to run in 2024 when Joe steps aside?

Fast forward 2 years and Joe has turned into the best defender of US democratic values since JFK and Kamala gets 10 seconds of air time a week.
