I mean, yeah. These right-wing talking points of the day almost always get their genesis with right-wingers being credibly accused, and they then turn it around and use it as a cudgel against their opponents in a massive feat of projection.
Which is what happened here. A conversation started developing about how grooming is a rampant problem in right-wing evangelical Christian circles (which it abso-fucking-lutely is), so the right wing media machine went on the offensive to project this issue onto their accusers.
