OT: American Politics

They were beautiful piles of cash, the pile of cash were perfect. This is a witch hunt, and the greatest political tragedy in the history of our nation.

At least the Dems aren’t jumping to his defence and fundraising off it. But they should do better. Particularly in a blue state where they’ll win again anyway.

by my count we're up to two (2) of ninety-nine (99) other Senators calling on Menendez to resign. they really don't do themselves any favours trying to be seen as not woefully corrupt...

It helps that the NJ Governor is a dem and would replace him with another dem....

this is not going to go well for tiny d

it cracks me up how great a candidate DeSantis seemed like on paper….like literally in a newspaper, if you only saw him and read his tough guy bluster. Struck me he was a Republicans dream candidate to replace Trump with someone who could do what he did, but smarter and with an easily sellable look/narrative and his military past, etc.

….and then the first time you see him on video, especially outside of just giving a speech, it immediately all deflates and he’s just a wet, wrinkled, ineffectual empty balloon of a candidate.

The fact he’s still running at all at this point is kinda embarrassing….feel like at any moment now he’ll have his “Please Clap” Jeb moment, and it’ll be all over.

Hard to have a 'cult of personality' among GOP voters when you don't have a personality. :geek:

aaaand he's going to win.

This is the problem that whole cabal has started running into. They were only ever interested in airing this shit out in the "court of public opinion" with no regard for the legality of it all, because Plan A was always the overthrow of the US system of government and the only Plan B was to try to avoid accountability long enough to circle around to Plan A again.

not gonna lie, in a vacuum that would have worried me…..if we hadn’t witnessed Newsome hand Hannity his ass, in their 1 on 1 sit down interview.

…after witnessing that, a 2-1 handicap match is only fair.

I've found footage from previous debates that I feel shows what we should expect this to look like

Assuming Supreme Court isn’t a realistic option, what could Biden realistically “promote” Kamala to, to open the VP slot for Newsome, so he can hand it off to him for 8-10 years, after his own 2-4 year second term is done?

I feel like if voters knew that Gavin would step in as Prez of Biden croaked or had to step down for any reason, (lost his dentures)….it makes it so much easier for everyone to vote him back in.

only thing I can think of would be AG, but that would mean getting rid of Garland.

think it's a moot point in any event, I don't see Joe ditching Kamala.
