OT: American Politics

Now would be a pretty good time for large protests, union walk outs, etc, etc.

Every day they wait makes it harder and harder to wind all of this back, at some point it becomes functionally impossible to regain what was lost.
 
You know at a certain point, I think the Dems want to see Trump burn down America...... so they can be the ones to rebuild it. They are betting BIGGLY on MAGA and the GOP being so unpopular, like post Bush II, that they will get all the seats to make all the laws they want.

I think it is naive, but that is what they are banking on... still, there is a long way to go before that happens

You’re more optimistic than I.

I’d bet the majority of active duty US troops, especially among the rank and file, are MAGA supporters who’ll happily invade Canada if that’s what their God Emperor orders them to do.

And then I think the overwhelming majority of the rest would go along to get along, rather than risk their careers, freedom and lives to defy their orders.

Yeah, I'm sure the good ones will spend years or decades in therapy after they've wrapped up exploding Canadians, like they did for killing Iraqi's, but they'll follow orders. Especially after we...uhhhh... start showing our distaste about their presence here.

I appreciate Kinzinger throwing the idea out there though.
