OT: American Politics

Which makes me happy because I wanted to short higher
Volatility ain't going away anytime soon. Only point is that one risk (insane stubborn orange man that no longer cares about capital markets) was removed. Plenty of risks remain. But the blast was not without reason.

I think the stubborn orange man is still there… his removal may me temporary

You make it sound like we’re dealing with a rational actor who remembers what he said yesterday

Well i see people are upset or confused at why the price is going up, I am just offering one explanation. With the stock market I leave the partisan or emotional stuff behind and view things in the lens of a robot.

We're also pricing in some probability of things like exemptions for AAPL and some other major corps, etc. The "Trump no longer cares about the market" narrative is gone for today. To your point, tomorrow is another day.

Well when even the GOP Senators are turning on you, and it looks like you won't get the deficit-busting tax bill passed........

Not sure anyone here is confused. Bear market rallies are vicious, as we have discussed a few times this past week.

lol if you think this helps project what he's going to do next time.

Is this is your version of “few understand this”
I mean I can say "stocks shouldn't be up this much. I disagree with what the prices now say." But what good would that be as a market participant? Why would my opinion matter more than fact?
