I sold all my Whitmer stock today. Sold all my Newsom stock a few weeks ago.

Kind of wild how 6 months ago the Democrats looked like they had a stacked roster of Dem Governors to choose from for leadership going forward. They didn't let Timmy be Timmy, two of them lit themselves on fire, Shapiro has turned out to be meh and the guy they didn't want to consider in Illinois might have been the best of the bunch the entire time.

He needs big league experience before he takes a run imo. He needs SecState, or fuck even VP is doable for him. But he needs that type of high profile job before he's got a shot.

but I do kinda agree that the dems shouldn't just throw the idea of all tarriffs being useful all out just because Trump is a moron. You can't let him change your policy positions.

His saving grace is time — only 43 but he seems like the kind of guy who would do better in Canada or Western Europe where being smart is considered an asset, not a liability
