Spoke to a couple of people in Mexico today. Not good in Guadalajara, PV, and Veracruz. Very few "confirmed" cases, but kind of a growing awareness about a lot of people catching something similar to pneumonia.

Mexico has made the choice that they can't sacrifice the economy the way the wealthy countries can, they just haven't phrased it quite like that in public. Mexico aggressively shut shit down during the swine flu outbreak and regretted it in the end, so they appear to have decided to not make the same mistake twice. Expect big numbers to come out of there. It took us a little bit, but we've got our family in line with how serious this is and thankfully they're able to lock the doors and ride this out for a few months if need be.
 
Seriously this situation has made me so thankful to live in this country. It's not like Canada has dealt with this perfectly but compared to some other places in the world (namely our neighbors in the south), the level of action and compassion from our leaders has been by and large excellent.

Ridiculous way of dealing with it. Ebola and Aids which I waded deep into, had way bigger teeth than this stupid virus.

Aids should have killed every pro athlete, whether they were married or not. Not one died.

He also showed how he will only do some things like screening at the border or closing borders if Dr. Hindshaw says so.

Love it.

Hated the man and his politics but he seems built to handle this as a leader.

If AIDS was a sexually transmitted disease. Prolific sexual guys, would be the first to go.

I could name certain pro players that almost fucked themselves to death.

But they never died and never contracted(or maybe they did) and never died.

The only Toronto sports athlete that wasn't a total sexual pred, as far as my intel goes, was John Olerud. He was a good ole wholesome boy.
