OT: Coronavirus Resources - and other things to not worry about

Even worse it means the mRNA is slowing crippling them and they will die in roughly five years. Suddenly.
Whoa
A hot summer night, fell like a net
I've gotta find my baby yet
I need you, to soothe my head
And turn my blue heart to red
Doctor Doctor, gimme the news
I got a bad case of lovin' you
No pill's gonna cure my ill
I got a bad case of lovin' you
A pretty face don't make no pretty heart
I learned that buddy from the start
You think I'm cute, a little bit shy
Mama, I ain't that kind of guy
Doctor Doctor, gimme the news
I got a bad case of lovin' you
No pill's gonna cure my ill
I got a bad case of lovin' you
I know you like it, you like it on top
Tell me mamma, are you gonna stop?
You had me down twenty-one to zip
Smile of Judas on your lip
Shake my fist, knock on wood
I got it bad, and I got it good
Doctor Doctor, gimme the news
I got a bad case of lovin' you
No pill's gonna cure my ill
I got a bad case of lovin' you

So that immune evasive variant that appeared to be taking off was a dud in some ways but not really in others. It's still growing, but very slowly. But... as I mentioned, the real concern is that it would pick up a couple mutations to really get it off the ground. And it has. We're about to face another new variant possibly with a whole new set of symptoms/severity that are currently completely unknown. This is based on one country's data but it's looking like the real deal (immune evasion is fierce even compared to the OG variant discovered a few months ago, just in time for the vaccine rollout of course):

TLDR: It might be more severe than Omicron, it might be less severe than Omicron. We don't know. But we do know that it is the first real evolutionary leap since Omicron, which set the stage for the next phase in the pandemic; more infections but clearly milder. This one is TBD. We don't know symptom severity, whether it's a shift back to a virus that attacks your lungs (there is some lab evidence that this is likely with this variant), what the incubation period is, etc.

It'll almost be like a brand new virus again! 🎲
