OT: Coronavirus Resources - and other things to not worry about

Bananas.

But we already knew that.

He’ll say anything as long as you help pay for his new lear jet. It’s what jeebus wants. Send in a contribution right now, and he promises to pray about genitalia.

Apparently New Zealand officials given police the right to enter homes trying to reduce unlawful gatherings

Ontario with their lowest number of new cases in 6 days. Again, I don't really trust the data but it's hard to not be at least somewhat encouraged. We had no choice though.. Our ICU capacity is pretty brutal. But it's still nice to see.

The only bit giving me pause right now is the composition of that peak of 462. Was it a function of a backlog clearing up and being announced more or less all within a few days? If those numbers were properly distributed, how would our statistical curve look?

I don't want to look a gift horse in the mouth too hard though, that's encouraging.

I'm a little skeptical because it looks like quite a drop today but whatever, I'll take whatever positive news I can. Hopefully people take it as encouragement what we're all doing is helping rather than an excuse to take a trip or two more outside the house this week.

Yeah I'm not convinced of the drop but I am convinced that we're not entirely fucked. It would be difficult to hide continued exponential growth. So I'll take it. Optimistic thinking.

That's going to be the biggest danger. People seeing he decline in numbers and letting their guard up. The counter point to that though is that as fatalities are a lagging indicator of an already lagging indicator, we will unfortunately see fatalities tick upwards as the new infection number moves down. Seeing deaths steadily increase for a few weeks will probably help keep more people on point.
