OT: Coronavirus Resources - and other things to not worry about

How is it, actually? I’m offended in principle, but not actually a purist about anything, and willing to be convinced.

Homeless cosplay beef, and I'm here for it.

Yeah it was my first time. And given the distance we went i think i gotta say it's better for the one man canoe.

please put this senseless crap in the off season thread

stop diluting my corona health database

Absofuckinglutely this. I can get over the toe shoes (zero drop, wide toe box is the way non sociopaths go) but what kind of self respecting camper uses a kayak paddle in a canoe? You can either solo or you can’t. WTAF.
as a competent solo canoeist, I too am deeply offended.

for the good of humanity, I'm willing to teach zeke how to solo paddle. always knew my Camp Canoe Instructor course would come in handy.

Killarney Outfitters specialty boat. There's no real option to use a canoe paddle in these. But they're pretty sweet:

Oh and just try the shoes, toots. They're like second skin. Only complaint could be for people with delicate feet that need cushion.

As someone who wears flip flops basically whenever possible, I have no problem with the shoes. Actually intrigued by the idea...

Are your feet particularly flat? Mine are...

Mine are a bit flat i think. I'm a barefoot guy whenever possible and love the flops too.

These things are like being barefoot but with superhero skin. Soles have great grip with lots of holes so water just goes in and out like nothing.

Toes and thin soles give you balance and precision so you're not really at risk of turning your ankle like with elevated flat shoes.

The first canoe/portage shoe i've had that didn't leave my feet covered in blisters....and there's never even been a hint of even one blister with them.

The only issue with them is they're super thin soled so they can hurt people with dainty soft feet.

They're way way way better than i thought they'd be.

do you have the Vibram 5-finger ones?

I'm definitely intrigued. I have amphibious shoes that I use on canoe trips but the straps on them constantly need to be tightened which is pretty annoying.
