OT: Health and Nutrition

It's pretty nice being under 200 for the first time since I was like 16. I recommend one of the Tirzepitides like Zepbound over Ozempic. From my research it works better.

I didn't bother going to my doctor... I felt shame and didn't want to ask for fat drugs. Ordering it online was anonymous so there was no stigma. I haven't told anyone and I wasn't going to say anything here, but after catching up on this thread it felt like a good time to come out of the closet.

I think the benefits are becoming more widely known and I would think if you told your doctor that you just can't seem to stick to any sort of weight loss routine that she would consider it.
Wear it loud and proud. Multiple proven benefits not limited to just weight loss. Some shockingly strong kidney and cardiovascular and anti-inflammatory benefits as well and for some (not yet proven, but your anecdote is one example) there has been some small evidence of reduction of depression, anxiety, ADHD symptoms, general productivity, etc. If your body responds well to it and you aren't one of them unlucky zombies or someone who shits himself hourly or has debilitating fatigue or whatever the fuck, it's better and more sustainable than any diet you may go on. If people look at you funny, fuck them boomers.

Indeed the line between oxempic abuser and long covid is a thin one.

I probably won't be announcing it to many people. When people at work ask how I've lost the weight, I tell them the "truth." Intermittent fasting... I tell them how I just eat one meal a day. I don't both telling them that the reason I'm actually able to stick to it long term is because of GLP1s.

I hate lying and I tell myself that I'm not lying. It works for now. I think I'll eventually come clean.

I hope the price eventually becomes more affordable. If the long-term benefits are as good as it sounds, they might be, I think the micro-dosing forever might be the way to go.

(they know it's ozempic budbud)
Perhaps... but I've lost 40+ pounds on multiple occasions since working there. They're probably waiting for me to gain it back.

But yeah, there's no doubt that many suspect it. Luckily I don't have "Ozempic face" yet. I guess my face it still too fat for that.

It’s so common here in Toronto… if I see someone 10lbs lighter I assume they’re on it

I think the shame factor is pretty low in these parts
