OT: HEALTH STATUS

This is an extremely sad news. I went back on your post history and one of your earlier posts included pics of you and your daughter. Happy family.

I am glad to hear that you have a supportive family as this go through this.

Thanks for sharing your story with your FI family.

Unfortunately I have not seen or heard from my 2 kids in over a year. They are well aware of my situation. Without getting into it, there is drama there.

Sorry to hear this Angelo. Wish you all the best on your day-to-day.

Don’t have much in the way of useful advice to offer you, but since you mentioned podcasts, I thought I’d mention a few of my favourite ones:

The History of Rome by Mike Duncan
The Revolutions Podcast by Mike Duncan
Hardcore History by Dan Carlin
13 Minutes to the Moon by Kevin Fong
Behind the Bastards by Robert Evans

Hopefully they can put aside the drama and see the situation for what it is. They only have one Dad and they're only ever going to have one. If they require clarity they can simply talk to anyone (like me) who no longer has a Dad.

Sorry to hear Angelo. That sounds horrible.

Financially there is probably support. There even is in Alberta.

There is also probably some online support groups on social media. They may have some ideas and thoughts on dealing with it, dealing with doctors, etc. I know that has helped me in the past when dealing with some issues.

Best of luck. And go Habs!

That sounds really tough and unfortunate Angelo. I wish there was more we (or anyone) could do. Keep hanging in there.

Lots of good suggestions already in this thread but if you can keep you mind somewhat active and challenged, will likely go a long ways. You're lucky to have supportive family members too. I hope things improve or at the least stop getting worse.

Angelo, Sorry to hear of your tough situation. I'm pulling for you.

I do some underwater photography (not great, but not bad either) and would be happy to share links to albums I've shot over the past 20 years. If you're interested, PM me an email address & I'll send links. It would be something different to look at if nothing else.

I saw Rush several times from the 70s thru the 90s and enjoyed every show. They're one of my favorites and in the top 5 loudest bands I ever saw. They definitely had a way to make their music get to the center of one's being.

I just looked at the photos. 👍. I have always been into tropical fish. Back in the days of my misspent youth, I used to raise various types of fish, mostly African Chiclids and freshwater Angelfish (hence the username). Thankyou again.
