Seeing my teams win championships makes me happy. And so does watching Toronto teams lose. And the Cowboys. I'll also be properly elated when Therrien is finally fired and I'll remain so right up until the point where Bergevin hires another francophone defence-first clone to replace him.

Other than that....meh.

My Giants might have kissed their season away this weekend. I know it is their year to miss post season but still sucks ass.
 
Before the deadline, They were a team with a few flaws, but also a team with an insane run differential that suggested they should have been much, much better than the mediocre record at the time.

At the deadline they got the best SS in baseball, a legit ace, an improvement in outfield defence and a guy with speed who gets on base, and two relievers to shore up the bullpen.

Damn right they are a legit contender after all those moves, and I'm not even a Jays fan (I cheer for St. Louis).

Raptors finished how high last year, and what success do they have in the NBA? Jack all.
Leafs go on runs all the time, hell, maple leaf fans get hardons when their team is in first place 2 weeks into the season, and EVERY year, YEAR AFTER YEAR, EVERY SINGLE FKN YEAR, they choke!!

Toronto teams choke, that's what they are known for. They aren't known for winning, that's for sure!! Sure Toronto has a decent team, so did the raptors, but they will choke, it's inevitable. It's the Toronto curse. Sure I wish a Canadian team would win, but I'm so convinced they are cursed that I am trying to not care so much even though I watch every game hahah. Either way, don't get too excited, if history repeats itself they most likely will lose in the WC game to choke hard like every other team in the city does.

Ummmmm.... the Jays and Habs have the same championship drought. And the Jays won back to back.

They are 3 different organizations who share a cities name. After that... not much in common.

As JB said. This is more than just an 8 game run. Its August 10th. They already had the best offense in baseball before the trade deadline, the trades just made them even better. Nothing is guaranteed, but I hope they go on a big run and take the division.
