OT: Movies/TV Shows

I saw and liked the first season with Dylan McDermott a zillion years ago. Then I kept at it and thought the later seasons were trash. I thought it would be done after the second one. I don't know what people find interesting.
I liked season 1 as well, i think season 2 is a bit better, and i heard alot of people rave about 3.

Wild to me there are like 12 of them, based on theme, some seem more interesting than others.

I do find it neat that they recycle alot of the same cast to do different things.

I don't really remember much of S1, just remember not liking what followed enough to stick around. And then was it Gaga who did S3 or so? I dunno, I lost interest quick. So I don't even know who else came and went. Did McDermott do more later? I pretty much only watched S1 because I like him (not enough to watch that FBI show he's doing now, though I did take a peek when I saw an episode flipping through, and it was cookie cutter trash prime time crime junk).

I can't believe these shitty shows have a following - CSI, NCIS, FBI, Chicago whatever. It really caters to the bottom rung, but there must be so many there for them to keep churning out season after season of that shit.

The Chicago empire has like every profession as a series.

McDermott has a supporting role in season 2

Season 3 seems to be Witches

@LeafOfFaith

If you like Dylan McDermott i reccomend you check out The Clovehitch Killer
And if you do, a general recommendation for The Practice - one of the best, underrated, unsung awesome tv series of all time. I never like crime or law shows funny enough (though prime Law & Order was a great show - haven't watched in many years). But McDermott on The Practice was a pure acting clinic, just excellent. And the scripts were just fantastic. I don't think there were many, if any, weak episodes. And then when the show decided to fire half the cast (including McDermott) over money and brought in James Spader, I thought it was dead, but that final season was also excellent. Then it spun off into Boston Legal which I thought was juvenile trash after a few episodes of it.

I can't remember him in S2. I may have stopped watching after a few episodes of it and missed him coming back, I dunno.

I'm not into the genre at all.

i watched in HS when it was on , and did a rewatch during covid. Its fantastic, but kinda gets wonky the last 2-3 seasons when some mains leave.

I expected it to fall off a cliff with the abrupt departures, but how they totally reworked things around Spader’s weirdo character was absolutely brilliant.

Trailer looks great. But you’d think if they were going to make an Indian Bond film (even has a Q apparently), they’d call it something better than Monkey Man.

Shaken or stirred? Whatever, just put a banana in it.

Yeah, the Practice was really good... And Boston Legal was nowhere near as good.
