OT: Movies/TV Shows

I remember when I heard Michael Keaton was cast to be the next Batman, I thought to myself...wtf? This guy?:

From then on, I reserved judgement on casting decisions until I actually have seen the movie.

The absolute king of this is Heather Ledger. Universally panned as the selection. Beyond panned.

Heath then turned in one of the best performances in movie history.

Yeah, I was gonna say. I loathed that casting decision when it was first announced. “The teen heartthrob dude from ‘A Knight’s Tale?’”, I thought to myself.

I’ve reserved judgment on casting decisions ever since.

Also, support to @LeafOfFaith on the Snyder cut being terrible.

Maybe I’m influenced by the fact that I never watched the original cut, so I don’t have that to make “The Snyder Cut” look good by comparison. But “less terrible” does not equal “good”.

It’s also funny how much of a recurring theme it is for Snyder to release a garbage movie that gets panned by everyone except his fanatical lunatic fans, and then insist publicly that the studio fucked it up and that he could make it into an amazing film if only he’s allowed to put together a director’s cut that’s 3-4 hours long. Pretty sure he’s pulling the same routine with “Rebel Moon”.
