It would be a cool move by Netflix to allow non-subscribers to watch the back catalog for free. They'd get more people on the platform... throw some ads at them and probably even get some new subscribers. This would be a good time to remember that the back catalogue of all 20th Century Fox movies are now under the control of Disney, which loves to disappear things for years on end.Netflix is way more likely to remove it from the platform for literally zero reason than they are to not try to maximize now right now revenue off of it.
I'm actually kind of terrified what rights they hold, if any, of the back catalogue.
I'm pretty sure that Project 2025 has plans for PBS that involve shutting it down entirely because it's "woke".
