OT: Movies/TV Shows

The older you get, the better and better Sergio Leone flicks are on rewatches too.

‘Once Upon a Time in America’ is fucking incredible too, especially the extended versions that weren’t all chopped up for American release originally. Doesn’t get nearly the accolades it deserves for how epic it is.

It’s Leone’s Godfather I & II basically, but in one film.

It's just as good as GF. great film.

Leon's most underrated flick imo, both because of a horrible american theatre cut and because of some very uncomfortable rape scenes, is Once Upon a Time in America. De Niro and James Woods in the main roles.

I don't think the original Director's Cut is ever going to be available but a few years ago they did their best to reassemble the original and called it the Extended Director's Cut.

Great great film. Treads much of the same ground as the Godfather but darker. I would say it probably rivals Godfather tbh.

Daredevil: Born Again is somewhat promising. Although, the first fight scene in episode 1 was terrible. It looked like a video game... luckily, they changed it up and subsequent fight scenes seem to be a lot closer to how they looked on Netflix.

It's a bit early to tell for sure, but I don't think the Marvel/Disney take will be as good as Netflix. That's mostly due to the very high bar that Netflix set though.
I found it stunningly awful. Such a snoozefest

Jude Law’s performance in “The Order” blows anything else he’s done out of the water….award worthy performance for sure.

Thought the movie overall kinda missed the chance to portray the antagonists as more of the cowards they were, but overall a good flick…..can echo JackBurton & zeke’s recommendation on it.
