OT: NFL thread

One more year, a team resting it's team in week 17 comes out flat and loses.
But what can you, try not to get bye? Next draft we need to go big on defence. Sucks losing but not like we lost to a bum.

Remember Aaron the Great lost his first playoff game too.

With Dak and Zeke the future is bright.

I do laugh though at how that game created the most posts. Y'all can't stop talking about us.

While I'm disappointed in the end result, I'm not left feeling like crap.

It took an all time great throw by an all time great QB to take the Cowboys out. Shit, I can live with that.

I fully expect them to go defense heavy in the draft, but then again I expected them to do that last year too.

Speaking of drafts, the Cowboys had one of the all time great drafts of any team ever last year. Franchise QB in Dak, franchise RB in Zeke, starting corner in Brown, starting DT in Collins, and if Jaylon Smith's knee heals up and he returns to be player he was prior to his injury? Woooeee.

I like that fact, but which stats, exactly ??

These are from 1 year ago.... Rodgers has now started 8 seasons. Seeing as this year was the 2nd best of Rodgers career, the 9 years vs Brady's 9 best still holds true.

Tom Brady's BEST 8 seasons:
7.76 YPA / 4.03 TD:INT ratio / 103.1 Passer Rating

Aaron Rodgers' 8 full seasons:
7.84 YPA / 4.18 TD:INT ratio / 103.9 Pass Rating

Apparently Smith's nerve is firing.

Yeah, I read that, but that doesn't really mean much to me. If his knee vulnerable for now and in the future? Will his play drop off because of it? It remains to be seen, but if he comes back to the player he was? He was projected as a unanimous top-5 pick prior to his injury in a position we need.

Interesting. So, let the discussion begin about why Brady has won a few more than Rodgers. The Pats D was good for a couple of them.....the first one for sure.

- Great coaching from Belichick, including the D is one factor for sure.
- New England's running game has never been great, but i think its been better than what GB has had.
- Defence overall has probably been better in New England.
- The sheer randomness of playing in a sport that is 1 game eliminations in playoffs.

I'm still scratching my head as to why the Cowboys left so much time for AR at the end of the game.

The spike on first down was silly. I would have run Zeke on the 3rd and 2 as well.

Still was a great season, Dak far exceesed my expectations. Zeke showed he was the right choice at 4.

Go heavy on D next year. That side let us down

Or if they would have went heavy on D last year, and not passed up Ramsey, and let Morris/McFadden run behind that line they might have been even better.
