Join a conference should be the answer to any complaint by the Irish. They are in the ACC for all but football because they can't make championships without it, should be football too. They lost head to head to Miami, should always be tie breaker. Issue is also their schedule which usually is weak.

I applaud the Irish for their principled stand. Most bowl games are bullshit. You want to risk a career ending injury just to win the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl or the Duke's Mayo Bowl? Fuck that shit. These Bowl games are almost as irrelevant as the Olympics.

Note Dame should remain independent and not a member of a conference. They are bigger than any conference you could put them in. They are bigger than college football itself. The Irish ARE college football.

Notre Dame refuses to join a conference because they don't want to share tv money. It's pure avarice. They haven't won a national championship since 1988 despite a weak schedule every year. They refuse to change and are paying the price. Join ACC fully and probably make playoff at least every 2nd yr.
