It's about HOW they make their money. Like adding another game to the schedule because they want more money despite the fact that the physical toll taken on the players doesn't support it. In fact, the season should probably have been shortened.
Your claim they should shorten the season is as dumb as when you said only 8 NHL teams should make the playoffs.

Thats what SHOULD happen. The reason it doesn't happen is because of corporate greed. The owners always want more money. To that end, they will force players to destroy themselves because players are replaceable.
You do realize if you cut games, players will get paid less right?

They dont need to. The owners could simply take less. But again, not happening. NFL owners never reach a certain level of wealth and the say "Okay. Im rich enough now. I dont need more." They always want more.

Im not naive. I said it would never happen because I'm not naive enough to think it ever would. But there's a difference between would and should. Should will always lose if there's more money to be made by doing what shouldn't be done.
