OT: Soccer thread

The first half was brilliant. So much tight passing, obviously they were ready for what CA was going to do.

My real fear is how nervy the refs are next Tuesday. We get a Ref with stone balls I think we can win this...if not, look for Club America to get something they need at some point.
 
I'm still cold and wet from the game but a 3-1 advantage is massive heading to azteca (not going because I couldn't get the time off)
 
This ref may not make it out of the stadium alive.

Not that he's calling a bad match, but the Americas manager might stab him.

Chivas had all sorts of problems with the Red Bulls tonight so I wouldn't be shocked at all.

I just got back from the area, would have risked meeting up with the traveling nutjobs for the second leg in GDL if I was down there for it. It's a nice stadium, and I don't think the GDL crowds are as mental as the azteca crowds can be. I've seen a few mexican league games down there and the atmosphere is excellent, but not particularly gangster.
