I can't argue that they're racist BUT I would argue that the worst of the bunch are a small portion of people who aren't even fans. They go out to games to deliver a hateful political message. They use it as their platform! Team gets reprimanded time and time again but they don't care about the team!

I went to a Lazio way back when and saw a fight break out outside of Stadio Olympico. I was just trying to enjoy my porchetta sandwich.
 
Wifey and I went to a game in Spain... Espanyol... not a big team. When I bought the tix I asked to be far removed from the ultras. The person at the kiosk snorted... “No ultras, esto es Espanyol!” lol

Lazio games can be a frightening experience. I've been to two derbies and I feared for my life both times.

But outside of the psychotic Curva Nord the fans are mostly normal. Just a bit uhhh passionate.
 
stadiums in Italy are outdated...Series A was an elite league at one point (attracting the best International players)

I have no problem admitting that I'm a plastic United fan. Would probably be more into it if I didn't hate mornings quite so fucking much. Used to wake up to watch matches but couldn't keep that shit up for more than a few years.

NBA is incredible to watch now aside from some late game pacing fuck ups now and again.
 
Same here, didn’t mind waking up at 9am and having a little breakfast during AS Roma matches. But 2-3 years into it, it dawned on me that my life did not need another time suck
