Balotelli destroying Germany was immensely satisfying!! I barely remember the loss to Spain in the 2012 Final.

In contrast, 1994 was quite painful because the final was decided by penalty kicks (first time) and of course the infamous Biaggio moment that I can’t erase from the hard drive in my noggin.

Baggio gets a bad rap though, two other Italians had already missed so while his sealed it, the other two misses were just as bad. Furthermore, Brazil only had to hit their 5th an it was over anyway.

Anyways, I'm getting precious little joy out of today's win. Only thing worse than winning like this would be losing like this.

Hopefully a nice dominant game against the English in wembley rinses this bad taste out of my mouth.

I didn’t have much hope going in. Spain got off to a great start and the game just unravelled further for Italy
 
I guess I'm not a black or white sports fan like some. I can take a lot of enjoyment out of anything. Hell watching the leafs season was electric entertainment. What wasn't fun was the 2018 world cup, though. 2006 was definitely my favorite sports memory with the raptors ship probably next but there's varying degrees of fun. It's not all or nothing for me.

Stars always get the brunt of it.... Marner got roasted in Toronto’s loss to the Habs while Hyman had about 4 grade A chances in game 7 and didn’t score.
 
That Spain goal was on Chiellini, he completely let Morata get away from him as he tried to chase the pass. Italy was fortunate to come away with the win after that. Let's hope for a better performance in the final.
 
Watching the game on my PVR; man Italy was such trash today. Hopefully they bounce back against England/Denmark
