Excellent...this is the next step for the program. Get as many of of these guys playing in the top 4-5 leagues as possible.

He might be the most consequential in that he forces the opponent to set up in a defensive posture or get away from their game plan like no one else at present.

There’s no way England, who looked quite fluid against (disinterested) Senegal, will be able use the same tactics. They will likely need to disassemble that midfield to bring on more speed in their right channel to jam things up. So, he creates an imbalance or a weakness elsewhere and allows France to boss the middle of the park and/or unleash Dembele down the other flank.

Normally I’d say players in the middle of the pitch are usually the greatest of the greats, they influence the game like no one else. But his influence from the left channel is very unusual and disruptive.
