I just love the starry-eyed enthusiasm of Spurs supporters in August.
….and I’ve been playing it conservative.
We have two of the best CB’s in the league in Romero and Van de ven, a top 5 keeper in Vicario, thee single best LB in Udogie, a top RB in Porro who might only be behind Trent in offensive talent.
Maddison, Son, Solanke, and Johnson (Kulusevski, Timo Werner, Richarlison) powering the offense up front, with Odobert coming in to provide us the dribbly take-on artist winger we’ve needed to stretch opposition defenses width, when they sit back…
Bissouma & Sarr securing things in the middle with Bissouma being one of the best defensive midfielders in the game when he’s on…
Still plenty of question marks tho…..how have other managers adapted/prepared for Angeball…how healthy can the back four be (averaged only a goal a game against when all four played)…..has Maddison bounced back to full health post injury….will Solanke fit as well in practice as he does on paper for Ange’s system.
We’re still lacking the kind of depth required to make it through a full Prem season and challenge for top spot & cups etc….but I think a strong challenge for the Europa League title, and a top 4 finish are well within our potential.
….and if we stay completely healthy, we can battle with anyone.
