Lille is a fantastic stepping stone, so he seems to be playing his cards right. He might even benefit from another year there to attract more interest, but Lille might be anxious to cash in. Anyway, they seem to have a reputation of identifying good talent and coaching them up.

Agreed, I think the absolute best answer is another year at Lille, but the world football market isn't going to allow for it. So hopefully Italy, or a non-Bayern German team

Buchanan moves to Belgium after the MLS season. Same deal there I think, though he’s a bit more polished. Maybe 1 1/2 years with Brugge and then he could move to a big team.

His game is better suited to England.
