OT: The Because Science Thread (Now With Aliens!)

Yeah, it makes more intuitive sense than "there's an entire class of matter and an entire class of energy that doesn't interact with the rest of the universe according to the rules we understand, so we can't see it, test it, recreate it in a lab, etc....but it barely explains a few things we don't understand kind of okay...kind of, so it's there."

This is fabulous, however am I the only person who finds it ironic that we are pouring resources into finding cures for ABC etc but have people dying of easily treatable ailments due to our overloaded and understaffed health care system? Takes up to a month to get an appointment at a general practitioner and minimal walkin availability. So many people won’t even get diagnosed with major illnesses until they are stage 4.
